Happy cat iz happy
I got a pair of winter boots, and a pair of wool slippers I can wear around my apartment. My feet won’t freeze anymore, and this is the first time ever that I’ve gotten more than one pair of shoes at a time. MILESTONE!
My PS3 is on a scheduled delivery date on the 8th of November! YAY!
Have I mentioned how freaking psyched out I am about Assassin’s Creed? The graphics look awesome, and I’m just a huge fan for authenticity (see also: Apocalypto), which the game delivers completely. I haven’t been this psyched out over a game since Thief: Deadly Shadows (and that was a little disappointing. Save for the Cradle level, I don’t really remember anything else of it. I suppose I just suck at stealth and FPS games). I loved Thief for its storytelling, and the final installment of the game just failed to deliver that. It was something about an old hag and the Master Glyph and some impending doom or whatever.
I was doubly psyched when I realized that the people on the Prince of Persia team were working on this. I absolutely loved the Prince of Persia series. Save for the stupid camera angles (which, apparently, has also plagued Assassin’s Creed) the storytelling and realistic animations just drew me in. Didn’t quite like Warrior Within much, because I wound up backtracking to a bunch of places and half the time I got lost, because the map was a piece of shit. But besides that, the series was absolutely wonderful, so I honestly can’t wait for Assassin’s Creed.
November’s looking up to be a good month (and warm feet!). If only that damn Psych 367 TA would just grade my essays the way I want to be graded. There is a reason why I’m scoring A’s on everything else besides this damn course, and it’s not me.
Stuff!
I have nothing to write about. I’m just idling at home. I like idling.

Call of Cthulhu
I’ve been playing Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, and needless to say I’m pretty freaked out.
It’s a crazy, addictive game, but it just scares the pants off me. Of course, this is coming from a girl who was so terrified of Thief: Deadly Shadows that she had to cheat, so take it for what it’s worth. (I love Thief, by the way. I just wish that my nerves wouldn’t kill me all the time whenever I play that game)
Everything just looks beautiful in Call of Cthulhu. Love the film grain effect… unrealistic, but aesthetically pleasing. There’s also this ’sanity system’, where looking at disturbing images would drain your sanity. First the screen goes a little blurry, then you hear your character panting, and his heartbeat goes up. Then if you still insist on looking at the puddle of blood, you lose control of the character, the screen goes blurry and if you have a gun, the character will turn it on himself. Whoo.
Stupid thing is the voice acting. I find it very strange when the guy says “Looks like a case of lead poisoning” in an extremely bored tone and then kills himself 2 seconds later. But I suppose I would’ve been really, really terrified if the voice acting matched his panic.
I’m so terrified that I don’t use the computer as often as I did. It’s that scary.
On a lighter note, I made pasta today! Yum.
I LOVE Keira Knightly.
I think she’s a beautiful, beautiful girl.
