This blog is about me. Me me me. Posts will more often than not start with an “I”. This blog has become more of a journal of unconscious thoughts trying to get themselves straightened out more than anything, and really a document of self-revelation and change of myself over the years.

I’m an American born Chinese. I migrated to Singapore when I was 4, and then moved back to America recently for college. I’m left handed, and I suffer from trichotillomania. A third culture kid.

I enjoy stories involving a disfigured protagonist overcoming all odds to be with the one he loves (or failing; the ending does not matter!) In that vein, I’m a huge fan of anything Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Phantom of the Opera, V for Vendetta and Pirates of the Caribbean (specifically, Davy Jones and Calypso). I also enjoy foreign language films, for some odd reason - Der Untergang, Apocalypto and Vozvrashcheniye are a few of my favourites.

I’m a great admirer of Keira Knightley. I’m not sure what else to add here.

My tastes in music are very general, although I seem to have a dislike for bubbly pop songs with lyrics. I prefer listening to soundtracks and Mozart’s Requiem more often than not. My interests are also extremely varied; I enjoy reading the occasional manga (Hellsing) to watching Discovery Channel on an unhealthy basis (Mythbusters) to web design (Confutatis!). I like writing and creating art, although I think I lack talent.

I care little about politics or religion. If I were to classify myself, I’d be a liberal atheist, although I always feel that labels get in the way of self-discovery. I’ve come to terms that I am a feminist, although I’m still not sure about my sexual orientation (I think I might be asexual), and I honestly don’t really care.

I’m also an avid gamer; I currently own a 60GB PS3, and spend some money on games when my budget permits me to. I mostly lean towards the 3rd-person Action/Adventure genre, although Japanese RPGs come a close second. I’m a fan of the Prince of Persia series, Assassin’s Creed and the Final Fantasy Series.

I’m messy, loud, witty when I want to be, and a little too analytical. Also, I have the attention span the equivalent of a hamster with Down’s Syndrome. So don’t worry if you get me angry; I’ll forget about it tomorrow. Unless, of course, you decide you won’t stop trying to remind me, in which I will develop a lifelong grudge.

My sister is my lifeblood. I don’t think we ever had any sort of sibling rivalry; if we did, we grew out of it rather quickly. I luff her.
